Verse of the Day

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Prayer

My dearest loving Father, thank You for another day to serve You. Thank You for the gift of faith. I ask that You search my heart and mind and remove anything that does not please You. Give me Your thoughts of peace and joy today so that I can learn to receive all You have for me today. Lord, today I choose to put my trust in You. I know You are a good and faithful God, and I trust that You have my best interest at heart. Help me stay focused on Your goodness today. Lord, today, we pause to rejoice in you, because you are our God, our King, our Savior, the Lover of our Souls.

Abba, thank you for meeting us where we are. Thank you for encountering us in our sin. Thank you for Christ, who “made amends” for us through the cross. Thank you for the chance we have to let this action move us to imitation. I want to walk in Your footsteps, Lord. Help me to be willing to share with others what I have been given. Teach me to use my time, my talents, my gifts, and my service to show Your glory.

Help me to realize completely that God will do exactly as He has promised for me. Help me to fulfill Your conditions to the promises You give such as being obedient and faithful to You. Lord, our hope will be fulfilled because our hope is in you. The new creation is coming. Christ will return to reign. Your kingdom will one day be fully here. And in that day, you will rejoice over us, and we will get to experience it. What a wonder that will be! All praise be to you, O God, because you came in the flesh for us! Amen.

Bible Promise of the Day

I have cared for you from the moment you were born. God promises He continues to uphold us

By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You. – (Psalm 71:6)

Prayer Quote of the day

God looks not at the oratory of your prayers, how elegant they may be; nor at the geometry of your prayers, how long they may be; nor at the arithmetic of your prayers, how many they may be; not at logic of your prayers, how methodical they may be; but the sincerity of them he looks at.
