Verse of the Day
Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus.– 1 Timothy 1:14 (NLT)
Prayer
Dearest loving Father, today I humbly come to You ready to receive Your favor, grace and mercy. I cast my cares on You. I cast my questions on You. I put my hope in You knowing that You will bring me to a flourishing finish. Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for my sins. Thank You for providing a way out of temptation so that I can stand clean before You. Help me stand strong as I cover myself with Your Word.
Dear Lord, what an honor and privilege to have you as my teacher. There is no one in all creation I would rather have teach me how to live. Father, success in our life comes ultimately from your hand. As we seek to be successful in our work and in every other part of life, may we rely on you. May we seek you and your ways in all we do. May we be guided by your truth. May our success be a demonstration of your blessing. May we receive it as a gift from you, something to steward well for your purposes.
Lord, teach me your truth, Lord, that I might know you and your ways. Teach me to live in the manner of Jesus. Teach me to represent you accurately in this world, both in my words and in my deeds. Teach me how to be faithful in all of my roles: at work and at home, in church and in the community. Thanks be to you, gracious God, for allowing me to be your student. Teach me, Lord, all that I need to know. Amen.
Give me the time each day to stop and rest and meditate on what You have to say to me. Open my eyes to the wisdom of Your Word and make my heart receptive to Your leading. May my family learn to rest in You and then together may we reach out to tell the world around us the good news of the gospel. I pray in Your Son’s precious name. Amen
Bible Promise of the Day
I will gladly give the Holy Spirit to those who will ask. God Promises He will send us His Holy Spirit
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. (Luke 11:13)
Prayer Quote of the day
God’s command to “pray without ceasing” is founded on the necessity we have of His grace to preserve the life of God in the soul, which can no more subsist one moment without it, than the body can without air.
