Verse of the Day
But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.– Psalm 59:16 (NLT)
Prayer
Father in heaven, thank You for choosing to make Your home in me. Thank You for filling me with Your peace and joy. I bless You today knowing that You will never leave me nor forsake me.
Gracious God, open my heart to listen to You and obey Your directions for my life. Just as Abraham returned to Bethel to seek Your guidance, may I continually come to You and seek Your guidance. May I be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit today so that I can represent You to those who are hurting and needing a relationship with You.
Abba Father, thank you for allowing us to be fruitful in life. Thank you for creating us so that we might contribute to the goodness of this world. Thank you for giving to humankind the opportunity and responsibility of raising generation so that they might become fruitful in their lives as well. Lord, as your people, may we embrace together our responsibility of being fruitful in all senses. May we be a place where all people are valued, where all people are able to contribute their gifts and their love.
Today we pray for parents, that you would grant them wisdom, energy, and love. Help those who are balancing work inside and outside of the home. As the community of the faithful, may we share together in the central task of discipling our younger members so they might live fully and fruitfully for you. Draw me close to my sisters and brothers in Christ, O Lord. Expand my family each and every day. Teach me to reach out to those around me. Fill me with a love that never fails. Amen.
