Verse of the Day

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLT)

Prayer

Dearest Abba Father, we thank You for the goodness and beauty of creation. We are so grateful for the way your creation nurtures and inspires us. My Father, I thank You today for the Nature. The nature reveals Your power as it unfolds it’s beauty and wonder to the searching eye.  The more we pay attention to the world, the more we see its brokenness as well as its beauty. We wonder if we can know the world as it is and still love it. In this, as in all things, we need your help. Lord, may I see and delight in the beauty of this world. May this draw me near to you with gratitude and wonder.. Grant me Your vision and Your compassion. Help me to live in the tension of the beautiful and the broken. Help me to know this world truly and to love it, even as you do.

My Lord, my life makes me conscious of weakness, and my memory brings regret; forgive me for the lost strength I neglected to develop. In thy compassion encourage me to be more watchful of my power, that I may usefully increase it, and not willfully deplete it. May I learn the need of constancy in well-doing.

Help me to respond to the examples You have given me in Your Word to be gracious to everyone I meet today despite how they may treat me. May I, through my words and deeds, honor Your name and may others see Christ through me. Oh, Living Word,  help us to abide in You today. Amen
