Verse of the Day
Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. 15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.– 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NLT)
Prayer
Dearest Abba Father, thank You for Your hand of blessing and mercy upon my life. Today I choose to rise up. I choose to shake off mediocrity so I can move forward into the blessing You have in store for me. Lord, today I choose to release everything that has tried to hold me back. I release the past; I release bitterness; I release failures and missed opportunities. Instead, I embrace Your grace and power to boldly move forward into the blessing You have for me I know that I will face many challenges and ordeals, Father, and I will try to accept them. Help me to be strong for those times, and to bring honor and glory to You.
Lord, today we want to thank you for those with whom we work. Thank you, Lord, for our colleagues, from those who report to us, for those to whom we report. Thank you for the chance to work together, and in the process to care for each other as human beings. Help those of us who manage people to find wise and appropriate ways to care for the wholeness of the persons who work for us. May the leaders reflect the sacredness of each life entrusted to their care.
Lord, thank you for being present with us in Jesus, for entering into our reality, for making yourself known to us, for setting the stage for our transformation. By your Spirit, may your goodness fill us, so that we might walk in the good works you have prepared for us. Help me this day to obey Your Word and to be faithful in studying Your Word so that I may do a better job of obeying Your commands. Enable me to first personally understand and then to help my family and friends to understand the importance of being obedient to God’s Word. Protect all of us from being led astray by the temptations of Satan. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen
