Verse of the Day,

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.– Philippians 2:3-4 (NLT)

Prayer

Our Father in heaven, thank You for Your promise of peace and safety in my life. I choose to give my attention to You. Have Your way in me and let everything I do bring glory to You. Death cannot contain you, Lord. No power in heaven or on earth is able to restrain you. We are also amazed, Lord, that your power is for us, for our good. You are at work in our lives for our benefit.

I thank You for keeping Your power in me through your Spirit. Help me, dear Lord, to live as if all of this is true. Help me to live in light of the resurrection, to experience the reality of your power as I serve you by serving others.

Lord, speak to me, that I may speak in living echoes of Your tone. My Lord, inspire me with kind words and thoughtful deeds, that I may share the yearnings and sympathy of others. May my life show that I am dependable, and may none be left lonely to-day because of my forgetfulness. My heart is filled with thoughts of peace, while the world is filled with rumors of war. Guide me through such hard times, Lord. Teach me when to fight and when to resist. Give me a spirit of humility as I touch the lives of my peers. Help me to take advantage each moment of today of all that I have in Christ. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Bible Promise of the Day

I will not reject the sacrifice of a broken spirit and a contrite heart. Our lord, promises He will accept what we do out of love for him.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart-These, O God, You will not despise. (Psalm 51:17)

Prayer Quote of the day

To pray is nothing more involved than to open the door, giving Jesus access to our needs and permitting Him to exercise His own power in dealing with them.
