The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10

Prayer

Dearest loving Father, thank You for the grace to do exactly what You’ve called me to do. I choose to step out in faith; I choose to follow Your commands. I choose to be faithful because I know that You are faithful. Give me spiritual understanding as I read Your Word so that I have the strength to stand firm against the devil. Help me to rely on You in all that I do and keep me looking up to You for direction and wisdom to meet every challenge and decision I face. May my life shine brightly for You and may others see Christ radiate through my words and deeds.

Abba Father, your Word to us is clear. We are to walk worthy of the calling with which you have called us. If we have received Christ through faith, then we have been called by you. We are called to relationship and to serve you in this world. You have called us by what you have done through the cross of Christ, forgiving us, saving us, and uniting us to those from whom we were once divided. You have chosen to make your good news known to the whole world through us, through your united people, through the church.

Lord, today I choose to be obedient. I don’t want to let little foxes affect my finances. I dedicate my resources to You. Speak to my heart and show me where to give. I choose to be a faithful sower and expect to reap an abundant harvest by Your Word. Refresh me with the strangeness and awe of Your power, Lord. Show me new wonders and teach me new questions, that I might come to know You better each day.  Help me to develop a time each day to read the Bible so that I may learn from You what and how you want me to live. Help me to be the leader I need to be to involve my family and friends in the task of reading Your Word. I love You and bless You today and always. Through the grace of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
