Verse of the Day

Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.– Psalm 37:24 (NLT)

Prayer

Dearest Abba Father,  today I lift my eyes to You. You alone are the source of my strength, peace and provision. I choose to delight myself in You knowing that You will give me the desires of my heart. Lord, I come to You today asking You to fill my mouth. I choose to trust You even when I don’t understand how everything is going to work out. I know that You are a good God with a good plan for my life. Fill me with Your peace and patience as I humbly wait on You

Lord, you are consistent in your call to us to do justice, especially for the powerless and marginalized, those who lack the ability to insure justice for themselves. As I grow older every day, Lord, let me not worry whether or not I will be welcome. Open my heart to older people, and have me treat them as I will one day want to be treated. Help us to seek your justice in every part of life, Lord. May those of us who have authority over others be sure to treat them justly. Give us wisdom to know what this means in our specific context.

Father, thank you for making us members of your household, your family. Thank you for our brothers and sisters in Christ, for the privilege of sharing life with them. Help us, Lord, to live truly as your family, to open our lives, our homes, and our hearts to each other throughout the year. Thank You for the confidence we have that You are our strength for all of our activities. Thank You that we can rely on You for wisdom and guidance. Help us to rely on Your strength and in turn may we give You all the honor and glory for all that You accomplish through our family. To be you all the glory! .Through the grace of Jesus Christ, the High Priest, who is interceding for me before you, I pray. Amen

Bible Promise of the Day

God has promised forgiveness.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9, NKJV.

Prayer Quote of the day

What causes us to think of prayer as the last option rather than the first? I can think of two reasons: feelings of independence and feelings of insignificance.
