Verse of the Day

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.  Romans 8:5 (NLT)

Prayer

Dearest Abba Father, thank You for another day to praise You. Thank You for all You have done in my life. Help me to see Your hand of blessing as I continually acknowledge and praise Your name. Lord, today I set my heart and focus on You. I choose to ignore the critical voices that would try to distract me from Your plan. Help me to forgive those who come against me and always walk in love so that I can honor You

What a wonderful world we live in, Lord. You give us happiness, and yet we create sorrow. Turn our tears into laughter, God, that we may enjoy this blessed gift of life we have been given. What a privilege that we have knowing that You are our creator. Thank You for the salvation you provided for all those you created and for the assurance we, as believers, now have of spending an eternity in heaven with You, our creator, our redeemer and our Lord

Help us, Lord, to see ourselves clearly. Help us to see where we are following the example of our parents in ways that honor you. Help us to see where we are following in our parents’ failing footsteps. By your Spirit, with guidance from your Word and the support of your people, may we be empowered to imitate our parents in all that is good without imitating them in that which is not good. All praise be to you, Heavenly Father, our perfect parent, always worthy of imitation. Lord, how I thank You for all You have done for me. I come now to worship You for all Your love. I thank You for your provisions. I praise You for mighty power. You alone are worthy of all my honor. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

Bible Promise of the Day

My love for you will last forever. God Promises His Love is Everlasting

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” – (Jeremiah 31:3)

Prayer Quote of the day

Do not strive in your own strength; cast yourself at the feet of the Lord Jesus, and wait upon Him in the sure confidence that He is with you, and works in you. Strive in prayer; let faith fill your heart-so will you be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
