Verse of the Day
Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (NLT)
Prayer
Dearest Abba Father, I humbly come to You today, giving You all that I am. Thank You for fulfilling every desire in my heart. Mold me and shape me into Your image. Remove anything from my life that is displeasing to You so that everything I do brings glory to You. Father, You love me, and today I hear Your voice say, “Come”. So I come to You dear Lord with open arms and heart. I come to You in humility and anticipation to receive all that You have for me. Lord, please fulfill the promises You have placed in my heart. I believe that You are willing. I believe that You are able, and I believe that You are working things together for my good as I put my hope and trust in You.
Father, Help me to look beyond the low moments I may face today to the glory that shall be mine when I am with You in heaven and receive my crown of life. Bless my family today and make them a blessing to those they meet who need an encouraging word. And Lord give me a new excitement and desire to serve You. Abba Father, I am coming next to You. I need Your arms, I need Your face, I need Your voice. Comfort me, dear merciful Father of all comfort. Strengthen my arms, give courage to my legs, help lift up my head up toward the light. Here I am, comfort me I pray. Make me worthy, Lord, of the great love which You have given to me. Turn me from my woodenness to true life; life which comes from Your indwelling Spirit.
Lord, help me today to understand the rejection You felt when Your own rejected You and the rejection You felt on that cross paying the debt for my sins. We thank you for taking our sin upon yourself in Jesus Christ. We thank you for reconciling us to yourself through the cross, so that we might know you intimately and serve you with all our lives. We also thank you, Lord, that the cross brings reconciliation between people. We thank you for undoing what sin has done. Help us, we pray, to be agents of your reconciliation in every part of life, including our work. May we be quick to apologize and forgive. May we be ready to fight systemic injustices that divide people in the world we live. May we treat others in a way that reflects the grace and love you have shown us in Jesus Christ. To you be all the glory! In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
Bible Promise of the Day
None of God’s promises in the Bible ever fail.
“…not one word has failed of all the good things that the LORD your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.” Joshua 23:14, ESV.
Prayer Quote of the day
We pray pious blether, our will is not in it, and then we say God does not answer; we never asked Him for anything. Asking means that our wills are in what we ask.
