Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.- 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT)
My Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You and thank You for all You’ve done in my life and all You will do in my future. I submit myself to You and choose to embrace change knowing that You always have good things in store. Gracious God, I humbly come to You in the precious name of Jesus Christ. I commit my words and thoughts to You. I choose to say what the Word says. I choose to speak the truth and trust that You are working for my good. Remove the blinders that I so often place upon my eyes. Expand my horizons beyond the limits I place on myself. Grant me vision through Your eyes of love.
There are times when I feel Your presence so strongly, Lord. I know that You have orchestrated a masterpiece of which I am a small but important part. Thank You for including me. Lord God, help me to select with care the site, the plans, and the foundation of my life. May I use the best material; and may it be worthy of a permanent home. Abba Father, may my roots grow deeply into you and your truth. By your grace, may I be a fruitful, resilient “tree.” May everything I do in life, no matter the context, be an outgrowth of your life in me. And may every bit of fruit in my life be for your glory.
Lord God, help me in all my circumstances, and be with me in my daily work. Help me in my efforts, as I endeavor to attain, and may my will be hid in thine. Lord, remove any lie or deceit from my mouth. Let truth and tact rule my words. If I find no truth within me to share, then let me keep silent. In the marvelous name of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
We have the promise of health and healing. God Promises healing for your sickness
For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord.” Jeremiah 30:17
The idea that everything would happen exactly as it does regardless of whether we pray or not is a specter that haunts the minds of many who sincerely profess belief in God. It makes prayer psychologically impossible, replacing it with dead ritual at best.
