Verse of the Day

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.– John 16:33 (NLT)

Prayer

Dearest Father God, thank You for Your hand of victory upon my life. Thank You for making a way even when there seems to be no way. I choose to stand in faith. I choose to believe, knowing that You are ready, willing and able to cause me to overcome in this life. I thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Thank You for working all things together for my good. Give me Your strength and peace today and fill me with Your faith which overcomes the world.

Teach us, we pray, to know how we can faithfully be like you and still worship you as the one true God. As we submit ourselves to your supreme authority and will, may we freely exercise the authority you have entrusted to us. Help me today to give the burdens I carry to You. Give me the insight to see others that are carrying burdens so that I can show them the way to You. Thank You for the assurance I have that You are with me every moment of every day waiting to carry my burdens if I am willing to cast them on You.

I forget how gracious and giving You have been, O Lord. Forgive my lack of gratitude and appreciation. I have no reason to desire more. I have more than I truly need already. Help me to use my abundance for the sake of others. Lord, thank You for loving me today. Thank You for keeping me the apple of Your eye. I open my heart and mind to You and cast every care on You. I receive Your love for me. Remove from my mouth any curse, Lord. Fill me with praise and thanksgiving for all that I have and all that I am. Through the grace of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

Bible Promise of the Day

God does not hold back anything that is for your benefit or good.

“For Jehovah God is our Light and our Protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk along his paths.” Psalm 84:11, TLB

Prayer Quote of the day

Silence, as someone has said, is the mother of prayer and the nurse of holy thoughts. Silence cuts down on our sins, doesn’t it? We can’t be sinning in so many different ways if we are being quiet before God. Silence nourishes patience, charity, discretion.
