Joyful are those you discipline, LORD, those you teach with your instructions. You give them relief from troubled times until a pit is dug to capture the wicked.– Psalm 94:12-13 (NLT)
Dearest Abba Father, thank You for Your Word that is living and active and growing in my life. I submit myself to You today and ask You to teach me Your ways. Give me insight into Your Word so that I may know You more. Lord, thank You for Your hand of blessing not only on my life but on the lives of the people around me. I choose to rejoice in You, and I choose to rejoice over Your victory everywhere I go.
Forgive me for wrong priorities, Lord. I worship often in word, but not in deed. Let my actions reinforce the faith I confess with my heart. Lord, I am well aware that my desires and plans might not be the best. I can think of so many times in my life when I wanted something badly, but realized later that it wasn’t right for me. So, before I ask you to grant my heart’s desires, I ask you to give me the desires of your heart. May my heart be broken by the things that break your heart. Lord, may my heart yearn for the things that delight your heart. May my passions align with your passions, my goals with your goals. Help me to want what you want for myself, my family, my work, my relationships, my country, and this whole world. May all of my plans align with Your plans for me Lord.
Lord, help me to lead my family to trust in You and to put You first in all that we do as individuals and as a family. When there are not more tears to cry, Lord, fill me with Your peace and consolation, Father. All praise be to you, Lord Jesus, Emmanuel, God with us! Through the grace of Jesus Christ, the High Priest, who is interceding for me before you, I pray. Amen
I rule the earth and all the kings belong to Me. God Promises He Is Sovereign and In Control
For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding. God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. The princes of the people have gathered together, The people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; He is greatly exalted– (Psalm 47:7-9)
When we rely upon organization, we get what organization can do; when we rely upon education, we get what education can do; when we rely upon eloquence, we get what eloquence can do. And so on. But when we rely upon prayer, we get what God can do.
