“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15 (NIV)
Dearest Abba Father, I come to You in faith declaring that I am finished with fear. Thank You for giving me a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Fill me with Your peace and joy today as I worship You and move forward in Your victory. Lord, today I choose to tune out the negative voices of the world. I choose to trust in You even when no one else around me will. I thank You for the good things You are doing in my life and trust that You will fulfill every promise You’ve made to me.
Lord, I thank you for the honesty of your Word. Help me, Lord, to be wise as I seek to live out my faith. Guide me by your Spirit. Keep me from going in directions that seem right but miss the mark. May I live out my faith this day in my leadership and every part of life in a way that honors you and is consistent with your plan and purposes.
Father, I commit my life to You. I truly do love You Lord. Thank You that I can learn through the chastening You choose to give me. Help me to learn through these experiences to be more Christ-like in order that my life may radiate Your love to a hurting world. I desire to know You more. I long for Your intimacy. I yearn to know Your love deep in my heart. Thank You for loving me, thank You for calling me Your friend. Lord, I’m not always as good as I know I should be. I act terrible at times. Please forgive and accept me, Lord. I love You, and I want to make You proud of me. Through Jesus, we ask this prayer. Amen
I will turn your mourning into dancing and surround you with joy. God Promises He will give us joy and victory through Christ
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever. – (Psalm 30:11)
How often we say about our earthly friends, “I really would like to have a good quiet settled talk with them so that I can really get to know them.” And shouldn’t we feel the same about our Heavenly Friend, that we may really get to know Him? These thoughts have taught me the importance of the children of God taking time to commune daily with their Father, so that they may get to know His mind and to understand better what His will is.
