Prayer
Dearest loving Father in heaven, I come humbly to You. I give You my past, my disappointments, my brokenness. I choose forgiveness and peace. Fill me with Your hope and expectation as You fulfill the dreams and desires that You have placed within me. Lord, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I choose Your promises. I choose to declare that You are my Refuge and my Fortress. I will trust and hope in You all the days of my life. Thank You for blessing and increasing me. I believe that You have great things in store for my future. I surrender every area of my mind, will and emotions to you.
Father, thank You for this day. I pray that I may live it to its fullness. Help me discern your will and to be obedient to do it. Lord, thank You for loving me. Thank You for choosing me and uniquely equipping me to fulfill my purpose. Help me to know my limitations. Help me to know my place in the body of Christ so that I can be effective and bring glory and honor to You. Give me the strength today if I have hurt a friend or relative to go at once and make things right. Help me to learn to be able to ask forgiveness knowing that these words bring delight to Your heart.
Lord, You can do more than I can imagine according to Your power that is within me. I have been transformed by a love far beyond my understanding. Thank You, Lord, for taking my life and making it something holy and special. Make my life a glory to Your name. Forgive me, Lord, for so often squandering the gift of life you have given me. Help me, I pray, to live for what really matters, or perhaps I should rather say, for who really matters. Teach me to live first and foremost for you and your kingdom. In particular, may I store up treasures in heaven today. By your Spirit, help me not to worry about my finances, but to trust you with them. May I invest more of my life – more of my working life – in the work of your kingdom. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ so that He be glorified through us, Amen
