Prayer
Dearest loving Abba Yahweh, today I choose to release old thinking, old habits and anything that would keep me from Your best. Strengthen me by Your Spirit so that I can live in faith and embrace the new life You have in store for me. Thank You for Your Word which sets me free. I choose to delete every negative mindset and replace it with Your truth. Give me Your joy which is strength as I am daily transformed by the renewing of my mind. Thank You for Your Word which gives me strength and hope. Fill me with Your power so that I can obey Your Word and walk in victory. I bless You and praise You today. Thank You for peace that guides and protects me. I choose Your Word today which says that I can walk and live in Your peace. Thank You for being the Prince of Peace over every area of my life.
God and Creator of the universe, we cannot begin to fathom the scope of the universe you have made. Its size, complexity and beauty are beyond our comprehension. With the Psalmist we ask, what are human beings that you are mindful of them? Given how insignificant a place we have in the universe, why should you have created us with the capacity to understand your creation and its meaning and purpose? We are filled with wonder and gratitude at your extraordinary grace in giving us the vocation of being your image bearers to your creation. Give us the grace we need to live faithfully in the world where you have placed us. Grant us skill and insight to serve you faithfully. We offer back to you the world and the work you have entrusted to us with thanksgiving and praise.
Loving Jesus. Open my eyes. Help me see. Help me believe; help me know deep in my heart how much You love me. You love me and loving me brings You great pleasure. Thank You for this wonderful truth. Help me not to fear. Help me not to worry. Instead help me to remember that You will never leave me or forsake me. Thank You that You know me by name and that no matter what I go through today, You will be with me. Thank You for Your great compassion and unfailing love. Help me to remember that when I feel despair that I can call on You and that I will know that You hear me. Thank You that I can trust You to not only hear me, but deliver me from what troubles me. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen
