Prayer
Lord Jesus, tenant of our hearts; fill us with Thy Holy Spirit, and fit us for that new life when all evil passions shall be subdued, and the knowledge of Thy Redeeming Love shall flow over the worm as the waters cover the ocean-bed! Lord, thank You for bringing me to the right relationship with You so that I might enjoy the peace that only You can give to me each day. May the peace that passes all understanding be my assurance as I share my faith with those who do not know You as their Father and Jesus, Your Son, as their Savior.
I further thank You for giving us Your Word to instruct us as to how we are to live our lives so that we will honor You. Thank You that You never change nor does Your Word. Make my heart receptive to Your instruction for my life.
Lord, make me increasingly conscious of the indwelling of Thy Holy Spirit; may He witness with my spirit that in spite of all my sins and shortcomings, I am still Thy child. Amen.
