But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love. Psalms 52:8 (NLT)
Abba heavenly Father, today I surrender my past. I surrender my need to have all the answers, and I choose to trust You. Fill me with Your peace. Fill me with Your grace and compassion as I press forward into the victory You have prepared for me. Lord, thank You for giving me power in the words of my mouth. Help me to stay tuned in to You by listening to my heart. Teach me to use my words to always speak life and blessing over myself and others . Father God, thank You that You have given me spiritual gifts. Help me learn everything I can about them and help me use them for your glory.
Lord, thank You for sending Your Son to this earth to pay the penalty for my sins and thank You for taking Jesus back to heaven to prepare a place for me for eternity. Give me a new dedication and drive to reach out to those who I talk to today to tell them that Jesus loves them. Lord, help me to know You better and better. Help me learn more about Your desires and passions. Help me know Your love, grace and peace. Teach me, guide me, instruct me I pray. Help me grow more and more in You.

We need your help, Lord, because we are broken people in a broken world. Yet, we are grateful that you are mending us through Christ. We also thank you for the chance to share in your work of mending the world. May we be agents of your gospel, doers of justice, embodiments of grace. For the air that I breath, the warmness of the sun, the food that nourishes me, and for so much more, I lift my voice in thanks and praise to You, Lord. Amen.
I will protect the fatherless, and widows can trust in Me. God Promises He Will Protect the Fatherless and Widow
Leave your fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; And let your widows trust in Me. – (Jeremiah 49:11)

We have allowed business, study or active labor to interfere with our closet-hours. And the feverish atmosphere in which both the church and the nation are enveloped has found its way into our prayer closets…
