Prayer
Dearest loving Father, I praise You today because You are the God of the double portion! I give You the losses and disappointments of my past, trusting Your love and provision for me. Thank You for choosing me and making me Your own. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. Help me to truly understand what it means to be an heir of Your Kingdom. Thank You for Your peace that passes understanding. I receive Your peace knowing that Your plans are for my good. I cast my cares on You and thank You for leading me and guiding me. Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to this earth so that I can have a relationship with You. Today I call on the name of the Lord. I receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart and make me new.
Lord, I desire to follow You. I want to live a Godly life but I cannot do it by myself. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit and make me more like You. I have let so many things come between me and You. I have allowed my heart to harden toward Your desire for my life. Forgive me. Lord, grant me peace and comfort in Your love, and if that is slow in coming, help me to learn all I can from my despair. I come now and ask You to soften my heart again. Thank You for giving me everything I need to live for You. I pray that Your Holy Spirit will guide me and empower me to live, love, and have faith in a way that pleases You.
Loving Jesus, we are grateful that you go before us as the one great Lead Servant. Thank you for your willingness to be stripped bare for our shame. We are astonished at your love for us and for your willingness to embrace suffering on our behalf. Forgive us for our slowness to admit our own weaknesses and failures. Grant us grace to serve others even when it costs us our ego and pride. Form in us the desire and the capacity to follow you. Give me the courage of Nehemiah as I work to rebuild the walls of my life. Help me to be willing to follow Your leading in all that I do as I work diligently to serve You in this evil world that we live in. Dear Almighty God, may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, Your own love and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with me this day I pray. Through the grace of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
