Prayer
Dearest loving Abba Father, today I open my heart to You. I choose Your way of peace. Show me how to live at peace with the people in my life so that I can honor You in everything I do. Thank you for making a way where there seems to be no way. Fill me with Your peace and faith and give me a vision for all You have for me. I choose to trust You and believe that all things are possible! Show me Your power today. Work through me to encourage those around me to trust You more. Today and every day, I choose love. Show me how to love others the way You love me. Thank You for setting me free and empowering me to live the good life You have prepared for me.
Abba Father, I give You my thought life. I want You to be Lord of both my conscious and unconscious part of my being. You know my thought process. You know my habitual thinking patterns. I bring them to You. I ask that You help me today begin a habit of focusing on true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praise worthy thoughts. I have hung on to my past. Today, I surrender to You. I quit looking back with regret, sorrow, remorse and bitterness and will look forward with anticipation, joy and excitement toward what lies ahead. Today, I choose to trust You. Help me to work for You today without being concerned about the good words or rewards that may come my way from the world we live in. Give me the tasks that You want me to accomplish so that You can receive all the honor and glory. Give me a burden to pray for others, witness to others and to help others who are in need all to Your glory.
Father, help me to remember all You have done for me so I will seek Your counsel and allow You to guide me as I go through this day. Lord, I know it’s not wrong to enjoy life but too often I forget that you have placed me here to be a blessing. And I know you call me to not just bless myself, my family and my circle of friends. Show me where I can actively help others whether in my job, my social circles or neighborhood. May your perfect love become so evident in my life that that natural result is for your love to overflow from me to others. Help me to see where you want me to grow and where you want me to go. I commit myself into your hands to be an instrument of peace. Nothing I do, Lord, will increase Your love for me, but still I want to do all that I can. Search my heart and know that I do truly love You. Help me to show that love. I pray in Your Son’s precious name. Amen
